Hi, I’m Graydon Speace — a product designer who loves turning wild ideas into clear, usable systems.
I’ve been the first or founding designer at multiple startups, helping teams find clarity, build design culture, and move fast without losing quality. I am a generalist with a background in graphic design, illustration, advertising, and English studies.
I work iteratively
I design at the intersection of systems and empathy. I balancing structure with exploration. My work often starts in ambiguity. I simplify complexity through tight collaboration, fast testing, and a clear visual language that earns user trust.
I’ve worked at several startups
I’ve helped grocery shoppers make sense of timed shopping windows at Imperfect Foods, redesigned the live-entertainment booking experience for Special Guest, and built Soopra’s AI-persona platform from early prototype to scalable product. Before that I helped French Girls App raise $4.5M to create a digital social marketplace for artists.
I like fun, creative things
Outside of design, I play drums and banjo, illustrate posters for rock bands, and experiment with vibe-coding. I also enjoy long walks with my dog and finding ways to bring joy to everyday moments.
I am looking for work
I’m currently looking for new senior product design roles where I can help define and scale products from 0 → 1 → N.
